Change the Batteries

Your touchscreen panel will alert you when the batteries in your panic pendant need to be changed. Panic pendants take one CR2032 battery. To change the batteries in your panic pendant, complete the following steps:
First Gen Panic Pendant: Most customers currently have a first gen panic pendant. You can see if you have a first gen panic pendant if the button is a rounded square instead of a circle. If you have a next gen panic pendant, scroll down to the section for that pendant. To learn how to change the batteries in the first gen panic pendant, follow the steps below:

1Go to your touchscreen panel and put your system in test mode. If you have a Go!Control panel, click here to learn how to put your system into test mode. This will prevent any false alarms or tamper alerts while you are changing the battery and testing the pendant
2Remove the top cover of the pendant by inserting a flathead screwdriver into the slot located on the bottom right hand corner of the pendant. Twist the screwdriver to help the cover come away
3Remove the old battery and replace with one CR2032 battery, positive side facing up
4Replace cover and press the button for 2–3 seconds to test
5Be sure to exit Test Mode on your touchscreen panel when you’re finished
Next Gen Panic Pendant: You may have a next gen panic pendant if your system was recently installed or if you recently had your panic pendant replaced. To learn how to change the batteries in the next gen panic pendant, follow the steps below:

1Have your system disarmed and put in Test Mode. This will prevent any false alarms while you are changing the battery and testing the pendant
2Remove the top cover of the pendant by inserting a dime or penny into the slot located on the bottom of the pendant. Twist the coin to help the cover come away
3Remove the old battery and replace with one CR2032 battery, positive side facing up
4Replace cover and press the button for 2–3 seconds to test
5Be sure to exit Test Mode on your touchscreen panel when you’re finished
