Go!Control Online Access

Through your online account, you can access your Vivint system from anywhere. The online account center is your hub for configuring and managing every detail of your system from your thermostat to your cameras, to home automation rules to receiving notifications.

  • Can I control my light and small appliances online?

    Yes! Adjusting your lighting and small appliance controls is as easy as a click of a button. To learn how to control these devices and create custom rules, click here.

  • How secure is the access to my wireless camera and my system’s privacy settings?

    Your cameras are protected in a few different ways. First, our Field Service Professionals password protect your router to create a secure home network. Second, your cameras are password protected through your online account using the 256-bit encryption that protects vivint.com. Only those with access to your online account can view your live feed.

  • Can I create a unique user code for a babysitter or petsitter to unlock the house?

    Yes, you can. You can create up to 31 custom user codes through your online account, and each one can grant specific access to any part of your system.

  • What can I do from my online account?

    Your online account is the hub for your system. You can access your online account on vivint.com through the Customer Login tab. After you click the Go!Control Web Access button in the top right, you will be taken to alarm.com where you can control and monitor every aspect of your system. You can:

    • View the current status of your system, and the status of each sensor
    • Arm/disarm your system
    • Manage users, user codes, and login information
    • View live video feed
    • Save, name, and delete video clips
    • Create scheduled recordings
    • Enable push notifications
    • Control all lights, thermostats, door locks, etc.
    • View system history
    • Manage system rules

  • What does my system history show me?

    Your history allows you to see every event that has occurred in your system. You can see things like how many logins have been made to your mobile app, which sensors have been triggered and when, and any alarms that have been activated.

  • What is the benefit of creating custom system rules?

    System rules are an easy way to customize your Vivint system. They allow you to complete multiple actions with one command. For example, you could set up a rule that when you arm your system to Away, your lighting controls turn off and your doors lock.

  • Can there be multiple users to my online account?

    Yes. Allowing family members to access your system via your online account is easy and secure. Remember, all secondary users must log in through alarm.com. They will not be able to access the account through the Vivint online account center.

  • Where do I go to view my videos? Am I able to save recorded clips?

    You can view your live video feed, access saved clips, and manage recording schedules all through your online account. You will automatically receive video clips when an alarm is activated, but you can also set your system to receive custom recordings when motion is detected or a sensor is triggered.   • There are multiple members of my family who need to have access to our online account. Can they have their own login?

    They can, but please note that all secondary users must log in through alarm.com. Even if they have their own access, they will not be able to login through the online account center.   • I want to receive notifications about my system. How do I set these up?

    System notifications are the key to knowing what your system is up to. You can receive notifications to your mobile device or to your email. You can be notified of events like your system being armed or your alarm going off, and you can also receive sensor notifications telling you when doors or windows are opened or when your garage door is left open past a certain hour.   • Is there a way I can see documentation of everything that’s happened in my system?

    Your system’s history is recorded online. It allows you to see every event that has occurred in your system. You can see things like how many logins have been made to your mobile app, which sensors have been triggered and when, and any alarms that have been activated.

    Your system's history can be accessed online after you login. From the main navigation tab, click History and a new tab will open that shows a complete log of your system's activity. You can filter the log by device, event and date. All of the information stored in this tab is also easily searchable.

  • What are system rules?
