Will my smoke detector beep continuously when it has a low battery?
Vivint smoke detectors don’t beep at all since alarms only show on the panel. Low battery alerts will announce themselves only on your touchscreen panel—not as chirping in the dead of night.
How often should I test my smoke detector?
It is always good to test your smoke detector on a monthly basis, but rest assured that our smoke detector will let you know if something is wrong. If there is ever an issue and you need to clean your smoke detector or change the batteries, your panel will let you know.
