Adjust Sensitivity (2GIG-GB1)The glass break detector, 2GIG-GB1, is designed by default as a two stage sensor, requiring first a thud sound followed by a crash sound to trigger an alarm. You can make the detector more sensitive by programing it so it only requires a crash sound to trigger an alarm. Follow the steps below to learn how to adjust the sensitivity of your glass break detector and how to return the detector to the default settings.
First, make sure that your system is disarmed and note that you may hear some beeping from the panel if you open the detector
Go to your glass break detector
To increase the sensitivity of your glass break detector so that it only requires a crash sound to trigger an alarm, push and hold the test button for 10 seconds. The red LED will be on while the button is pressed, then the green LED will blink two times to indicate the detector has been reprogrammed for single stage operation. Note:The detector will remain in single stage operation until a power cycle occurs.
To decrease the sensitivity of your detector and return it to default settings, twist the device counter-clockwise to remove it from the base. Then remove the batteries for 20-30 seconds for the device to fully power down. Replace the batteries and twist the device clockwise back onto the base.
