Delete and Re-Add

If your Vivint Ping™ camera shows as offline and you have already followed the troubleshooting steps here, you will need to delete and re-add your Ping to your panel. Follow the steps below to learn how.

1Delete your Ping camera from your panel
  • From the home screen of your panel, tap the menu icon
  • Tap 'Devices'
  • Enter your 4-Digit PIN
  • Tap 'Cameras' and then tap your Ping
  • Scroll down and tap 'Delete camera'
2Factory reset your Ping
  • Go to your Ping camera and unplug it
  • While plugging the camera back in, press and hold the top button until the light turns red
  • The camera will go through a series of lights before turning green and announcing that it is ready to connect to your Vivint system
3Get the panel ready to add your Ping
  • From the home screen of your panel, tap the settings icon
  • Tap 'Devices'
  • Enter your 4-Digit PIN
  • Tap 'Add device'
  • Tap the Ping camera
  • The panel will ask you to make sure the Ping is plugged in and ready to connect. Tap 'Connect'
4Add your Ping
  • While the panel is looking for the device, go to your Ping camera
  • Press and hold the top button on your Ping for three seconds until you hear a tone
  • The camera will announce that it is now connecting to your Vivint system
  • The panel will take a few minutes to add the camera and the camera will announce that it is finalizing and then ready to view
  • From your panel, you will be able to name your Ping and then view the live feed
