Directly Connect to RouterIf you prefer to hardline into your router versus connecting to a wireless network, you can easily connect your computer directly to the router by following these steps:
Obtain an extra Ethernet cable – these can be bought from any major retailer. They come in various lengths and colors to fit your lifestyle
Go to your router. On the back of the router there will be a few numbered slots. These slots are called LAN ports and are usually numbered 1-4
Connect one end of the Ethernet cable into one of the numbered slots on the back of the router
Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable directly into the computer’s Ethernet port
Test the connection by opening a new session in your browser of choice
Some computers do not automatically recognize the hardline connection. Disabling the Wi-Fi capability on the computer may be necessary. To do this, please consult your computer’s user manual
