Delete and Re-Add

If your Doorbell Camera is offline and you've already followed the troubleshooting steps here without success, do a factory reset on your device. This is done by deleting the doorbell camera from your panel, and re-adding it. Watch the vide, or read the steps below to learn how.

1Delete your Doorbell Camera from your panel
  • From the home screen of your panel, tap the 3-dot Menu icon in the bottom right.
  • Tap Devices.
  • Enter your 4-Digit PIN.
  • Tap Cameras and select your Doorbell Camera.
  • Scroll down and tap Delete Camera. Confirm by tapping Yes.
2Reset the camera
  • From your actual Doorbell Camera, press and hold the button until the light turns red. Usually 20-45 seconds.
  • The camera will go through a series of lights before turning green and a voice will announce it is ready to get your camera set up.
3Set up your panel to connect
  • From the Home screen of your panel, tap the 3-dot Menu icon in the bottom right.
  • Tap Devices.
  • Enter your 4-Digit PIN.
  • Tap Add new device.
  • Tap the Doorbell Camera option.
  • The panel will ask if the camera is installed and ready to connect. Tap the orange Connect button in the bottom right.
  • The panel will begin searching for the Camera.
4Add your Doorbell Camera
  • While the panel is searching, go to your Doorbell Camera.
  • Press and hold the button on your Doorbell Camera for three seconds, until you hear a tone.
  • The camera will announce it's connecting to your Vivint system.
  • This can take a few minutes but once it’s finished, the camera will announce it is finalizing, then ready to view.
  • From your panel, you can name your camera and view the live feed.
