Set Up Video Motion Detection
You can monitor multiple locations inside the same video screen by setting up multiple motion detection windows. Depending on your recording schedules, your camera can let you know whenever it detects motion in any of your windows.
To set up your motion detection windows, complete the following steps:
1Log in to the online account center
2Click 'Control my home'
3Choose the Video tab
4Click on the Camera Settings link
5Choose the Video Motion Detection button
6In the “Choose a VMD window” dropdown menu, choose 1, 2, or 3. In the video window, there will be a corresponding box for the option you've selected
7By clicking and dragging the box, you can re-size your window and choose the specific part of the video screen that you want to monitor
8Once you've set the location and size of your window, use the slider bar on the right to change the sensitivity for each window. This will set how much motion or how big the object needs to be to trigger a recording (1 being the lowest, 10 the highest). We recommend setting the sensitivity at 5
9When you’re finished setting your motion detection windows, click Save before leaving the page
