How many Hue bulbs can I connect to my Vivint Smart Home?
The SkyControl panel can connect to one Philips Hue bridge and the bridge can connect to up to 50 bulbs.
Does my SkyControl panel need to be on a certain software version for it to connect to Hue?
Yes, you will need your SkyControl panel to have at least 3.10 software. You can check the software on your panel by tapping the menu icon on the home screen and looking at the ‘Software version’ on the Support page. If your panel does not have the latest software, you can call one of our Smart Home Specialists at 855.695.5404 to send an update to your panel as well as connect your panel to your Hue bridge.
Can I buy Philips Hue bulbs from Vivint Smart Home?
No, Philips Hue bulbs and kits can be purchased online or at a Best Buy store and then connected to your Vivint Smart Home by calling into one of our Smart Home Specialists at 855.695.5404.

Yes! You can create system triggered rules for your Hue bulbs from the Vivint Smart Home app. For example, you can create a rule to turn on the kitchen lights if the kitchen motion detector is triggered. Can I use Amazon Echo voice control with Vivint Smart Home and Hue bulbs together?
Yes. However, we do recommend that you only enable to Vivint Smart Home skill in the Alexa app and not the Philips Hue skill at the same time in order to avoid conflicts between Alexa and the two systems. Once your Hue is connected to your Vivint Smart Home, the bulbs will be recognized in the Vivint Smart Home app and you will be able to use Alexa to voice control your lights.
Can I control the color of my Hue bulbs from the Vivint Smart Home app?
No. The Vivint Smart Home app can only be used to turn the Philips Hue bulbs on and off. The color of the bulb must be set from the Philips Hue app. You can set the color and tone from the Hue app and the setting will save so that you can turn the colored light on and off from the Vivint Smart Home app.
What do I do if some of my Hue bulbs are not showing up in the Vivint Smart Home app?
Your Philips Hue bulbs must be in named rooms in the Hue app in order to show up in the Vivint Smart Home app. You can create named Hue bulb rooms with one bulb in them in order to get individual bulbs to show up in the Vivint Smart Home app. You can then create additional groups with your Hue bulbs in the Vivint Smart Home app as well.
