Cold Weather Problems
Cold temperatures will often cause your electronic door lock batteries to deplete faster than what you could averagely expect. To improve the efficiency of your batteries during cold weather, try any of the following:
1Because lithium batteries can withstand colder temperatures better than alkaline batteries, it is recommended that any alkaline batteries be swapped out for lithium as a preemptive measure
2Adjust your auto-lock settings and your display light settings. Lowering both of these will improve your batteries' efficiency
3Because extreme cold weather can decrease battery output, always have the physical keys for the door lock in a safe, but accessible place (trusted neighbor, hide-a-key box, etc.)
