When your Vivint smoke detector battery gets low, you will be alerted on your panel first with beeping and an alert on the touchscreen itself. This lets you know that the battery is getting low so that you can purchase a battery and have it ready before the sensor starts chirping. The smoke detector will not chirp until it gets to critical battery level. If it gets to that point, you will hear a chirp from the smoke detector every 48 seconds until the battery is changed. If your sensor’s batteries are low, click here to learn how to change the battery.
